Our history

1950

In the 1950s – The beginning

The father of the five Cerón brothers began growing peppers, as well as SEEDED GRAPES for export to the national market and to Portugal.

1996

Opening of the industrial warehouse in Alhama

In 1996 we founded the company El Murtal, which takes its name from one of the families in our family, dedicated to the production and management of the seedless grape trade.

1996

A shift to seedless grapes

In 1996, in a short time, the change was made from seeded grapes to SEEDLESS GRAPES. In Spain, growers were quick to change to meet market needs and to begin exporting internationally.

2014

GlobalG.A.P. certification

As part of our commitment to quality, we obtained the GAP certificate.

2014

The introduction of stone fruit

We introduced new stone-fruit crops and now produce many distinctive varieties of apricots, peaches, flat peaches (paraguayos) and nectarines.

2017

The opening of the new facilities

Autovía del Mediterráneo, km 596, 30850 Alhama de Murcia is the current address of our headquarters. There are about 7,151 m² of warehouses in total, and the farms are organized around the site.

2018

New varieties

We are constantly renewing our crops every year to produce better seedless table grapes in a sustainable way. We have around 28 distinctive varieties this year.
